How difficult is this system to install?

The Chimney Snake is easy to install, with tools you already have. It takes about an hour to assemble. The initial installation does require you to attach it to your chimney pipe from your roof, but that will be the last time you ever need to be up there. How often can I clean my chimney? What is the benefit of doing it more than once a year?

It is recommended cleaning your stove pipe at least twice a year. With the Chimney Snake, you can clean it every day if you want! It is completely safe to use whenever you feel the need. The cleaner the better, and the more protected you are from devastating chimney fires. We recommend, if you burn wood for heat, to clean it once a month.

The system is made of high quality American steel.

Is it made in the US?

Absolutely! We wouldn’t have it any other way! The Chimney Snake system's materials, the fabrication and manufacturing is done in the US. And proudly bears the official “Made in Montana" seal as well.

Are there any hazards I need to be aware of?

All our parts are 100% steel. There are no hazardous materials in your chimney snake unit. You do need to take care not to touch the chimney snake pipe when your stove is in use. Just like your regular chimney pipe, it gets hot when you have a fire going. You will also need to have a cool chimney before installing the system to avoid burns. Additionally, part of the initial installation requires you to climb on your roof, one time only. The rest is done from inside your home. Please make sure you use the utmost in safety protocols when doing so.

I have an old style stove with a damper. Can I use the Chimney Snake system in my stove?

Absolutely! You will have to make a small, easy modification and place the system above your damper. The system will work just as efficiently.

How do you ship the Chimney Snake?

We ship within 2 working days, and shipping is always free within the the U.S. PLEASE NOTE: If you want your package shipped to a P.O. Box, we will be shipping that thru the USPS.

Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

At this time, we do not ship outside of the 50 states. Our American market is keeping us quite busy, but we are working on setting up shipping to Canada and Europe, so hopefully in the future we will be able to ship globally. Keep watching this site!
